Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup basmati rice
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons Calcutta Meetha Paan blend 
  • 1/4 cup chopped dates
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds or pistachios (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Drain well.
  2. In a large saucepan, bring the milk to a boil over medium heat. Add the rinsed rice and reduce the heat to low.
  3. Cook the rice in the milk, stirring occasionally, until the rice is soft and the mixture thickens (about 25-30 minutes).
  4. Add the condensed milk and Calcutta Meetha Paan blend to the rice pudding. Mix well and continue to cook for another 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in the chopped dates and remove the pudding from the heat.
  6. Allow the Calcutta Meetha Paan rice pudding to cool to room temperature or chill it in the refrigerator before serving.
  7. Garnish with chopped almonds or pistachios before serving for added texture and flavor.
