Ingredients:

  • Juice of 4-5 lemons
  • 4 cups of water
  • 3/4 cup sugar (or to taste)
  • 4-5 cardamom pods
  • A handful of fresh mint leaves

Instructions:

  1. Heat 1 cup of water and the sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Crack open the cardamom pods and add them to the sugar water.
  3. Add the fresh mint leaves into the saucepan and let it simmer for a few minutes to infuse the flavors.
  4. In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice and the remaining 3 cups of water.
  5. Strain the sugar water to remove the cardamom pods and mint leaves, then add it to the pitcher and stir well.
  6. For an extra touch of mint, you could also finely chop a few additional mint leaves and stir them into the lemonade at this point.
  7. Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator before serving.

This Cardamom Mint Lemonade should be a wonderfully refreshing drink, with the mint adding an extra level of freshness to the cardamom and lemon flavors. Enjoy!
