Using dry Amla fruit, you can create various recipes that not only offer a unique tangy flavor but also provide numerous health benefits due to the high vitamin C content and antioxidants.

  1. Ingredients:
  • 1 cup dry Amla fruit
  • 1/4 cup jaggery or brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the dry Amla fruit in water to remove any dust or impurities. Soak them in warm water for about 15 minutes to soften.

  2. Remove the seeds from the softened Amla and chop them into small pieces.

  3. In a saucepan, combine the chopped Amla, jaggery (or brown sugar), water, grated ginger, cumin seeds, red chili powder, and salt.

  4. Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the Amla becomes soft and the chutney thickens.

  5. Once done, let the chutney cool down, and then transfer it to a clean, airtight jar for storage. You can enjoy this tangy and sweet chutney with snacks, bread, or as a side with main meals.
